New York City

We traveled from Boston to New York City on a 4 hour bus. Victoria and I waited outside the Natural History Museum which was a beautiful park.
The museum itself was neat, although the kids quickly got bored with all the animal and dinosaur exhibits. The coolest exhibit was in this giant dome that had a 5 minute presentation about our solar system.

The best part of New York was all the giant rocks that the kids enjoyed playing on and running all over.

 The parks were gorgeous.

Jer chasing the girls up the rock.
We were getting tired of walking looking for a restaurant so I suggested we eat a dessert for dinner instead. We had an amazing dinner at Sugar and Plumm of different type sundaes.

The girls rode the New York subways with ease too. However, the toughest part was the morning we left New York and had to haul all of our stuff and the kids on a Wednesday morning rush hour train. We "train surfed" for 10 minutes, as no one had a seat to sit down or anything to grab onto. The girls' gymnastic skills came in handy.
We took a double decker bus ride through the streets of New York. (Jer and I did this the last time we visited and loved it; however, this time, our tour guide was awful. I suggest if you do do this, if you get a bad guide, get off and board another bus.)

Bella got really excited when she saw this in Time Square. Marketing to the kids!

 Empire State Building

Traveling the streets of Soho and Little Italy. (Some areas smelled, hence the pinched noses.)
Cappuccino and gelato in Little Italy.
 Wild turkey
Statue of Liberty in the background.

Newest Twin Tower that was rebuilt. (It wasn't finished last year when Jer and I came.)
Touching the Bull for good wealth or luck, can't remember which.
The down pour of rain. Luckily I packed jackets and umbrellas. (Later that night, we had wanted to go back out on a nighttime bus tour, but due to the rain, we instead went to Time Square and ate hot dogs with our kids in the rain.)
This odd tree sculpture is where they put the giant Christmas Tree at Rockefeller Square.

Right beside it was one of the kids' favorite places- the Lego Store.
  Rockefeller Square made of Legos

St. Peter's Cathedral was under construction, but it was still beautiful.

Bella's favorite store was Schwarz Toy Store.

She got to play on the piano from the movie Big.
And she bought her souvenir, a little panda named Lilly.
Victoria's favorite store was Lindt Chocolates, and she bought her souvenir, lots of truffles. Later that night she let us try each one while we watched the Karate Kid in the hotel bed.
Pigeons everywhere, even stealing the horse's food.
 More fun rocks.
A cool playground that went underground, then let you climb on a giant rock.
New York, all in all, was a neat place to visit, but it didn't have as many kid friendly things to do, unless you are in love with giant rocks. The people are not as friendly with kids either, but it was a fun place to visit.
