We had a wonderful 4th of July party at our house this year. Quinn, Dave, Tanner, Tessa, Carol, Dick, Dan, Kate, Abby, Jay, Julie, Braelyn, Grayson, Chris, Chuck, Nico and Marlee all had a fun time playing and eating.

And there always has to be a couple who decide to turn the water fight into a mud fight when the adults step away for a second. BTW it was Bella who started it. I wonder if they learned their lesson once Jer had to house them off.
The grub. The 4th of July flag in the middle is actually a strawberry, blueberry, and marshmallow dish concocted by Victoria and Bella- a great job!
Jer did a fantastic job decorating our house while I was on the run. Who knew 3 dollars worth of streamers would look so good, however his hamburger cooking skills have slacked some. Check out the black brick behind our grill.

I found a really cute Pinterest project about making a 4th of July shirt with a star in the middle and dots of red and blue fabric paint put on by a pencil's eraser.
They turned out so cool.
We had a "Patriotic Scavendger Hunt" where the kids paired up into two teams and had to take pictures of themselves with 10 Patriotic items.
They enjoyed learning to use a phone, although the team with the teenager Tanner smoked the other team and we had to later move him to the other team to keep it fair.

When it got dark outside we let the kids do some sparklers.
We later parked our car in front of the kids school to watch the city of Frisco's firework show. We had an amazing day!
The next day we went over to Gary and Deb's house to swim in their pool and bring them leftovers :) Yes, that is Jer wearing a pink kids hat to keep the sun off him. The girls enjoyed playing Marco Polo with Gary and Jer. We all enjoyed the pork butt that Gary had smoked the day before. Yum!
