Boston

We took off early (5am) in the morning and arrived in Boston for lunch at a pub.
Afterward we went to one of their amazing Garden Parks. The kids were happy doing cartwheels, even though Bella was suppose to be resting her leg. (The day before we left for vacation Bella's leg swelled up and had to be lanced from an infected bug bite.)

We met an angry squirrel that actually chased the girls away.
Victoria posed in front of a window display on Newbury Street- known for its fashion.
Jer totted Bella around for much of the first few days because of her leg.

Sitting at Copley Square (in front of Boston Public Library), the kids witnessed their first democratic protest for Israeli/Jewish rights.

Faneuil Hall, our start of the Freedom Trail with a tour guide.
Victoria was choden to represent one of the British officers in colonial times.
Walking the red bricks of the Freedom Trail.
Bella tries her first clams. (On the last night she ordered the kids lobster at a restaurant- she has good taste.)

 Long Wharf, Boston

The kids were growing tired so we decided to get them some gelato, but we had to wait for the attendant to come help us.

Here comes the subway train. The girls did great on the trains!
Victoria finally gets a turn on Dad's shoulders, now that Bella's leg is better.
 The parks were amazing!

Everyone was SO friendly in Boston. This one man saw us looking at his "row boat" and invited us over to investigate it and told us all about the sport.

 More cool playgrounds.
Jer sports his German team for World Cup Soccer. We found a bar and got to watch the last 30 minutes of it. He was very happy and kept getting high fives and compliments from passerby's on the street.
Enjoying the day at an outdoor restaurant while waiting for my first taste of Boston lobster. It was very good, not great, but I'm sure there were other better places for it.

I highly suggest going on the Duck Tour if you visit Boston.
The land vehicle converts to a boat and you go into the water to see the city in a different way. Awesome!
Victoria and Bella got to steer the boat.

Boston is a wonderful city to take kids. The playgrounds were my kids' favorite thing, the history was Jer's favorite thing, and I just enjoyed the ambiance and friendly people.
