Grandparents Love & Irish Fest

We went over to Carol and Dick's one Sunday after mass to hang out. The girls had fun dressing in costumes and reading stories and poems out loud. Jer loved the one Wee Willie Winkie because he thinks he got the meaning of it. The girls enjoyed some one on one time with Grandma.

We went to Irish Fest with Gary and Deb on Saturday. The weather was BEAUTIFUL! I was in shorts! It was fun, but I felt like cattle moving from one "okay" attraction to the next "okay" attraction, paying a lot of money, just to see the okay attraction and waiting in one, scratch that, many LONG LINES! The kids had an okay time- they were able to do a couple of crafts, pet some animals, and listen to some good Irish music (the highlight of the day.)

Jer, Deb, and Gary went to a Irish whiskey tasting, while I watched the girls. (I was designated driver.) We were able to see a bagpipe band and watch the giant water fountain that danced to music. As we were listening, Bella jumped on Victoria's shoulders; I managed to snap a couple of pics.

Talk about an extreme- it was 80 degrees for the Irish Fest and the next day it started raining ICE PELLETS with a high of 30!
Victoria modeled her hat and coat that she loves to wear. School was cancelled on Monday because of the ice. Bentley, Austin, and Campbell came over to play with us. I died laughing as I watched them try to snow board down our driveway-let's just say- many wipeouts and going as slow as a snails pace. Sorry, no pics of that, but I was able to get a quick one of them playing Legos.
