Easter

On Saturday, we went to Coppell to visit my parents. We played in their backyard. Victoria climbed a tree and didn't want to come down. We colored and dyed hard boiled eggs. We ate ham, potatoes, asparagus, and rolls. For dessert Victoria helped me pick out a great carrot cake from Walmart. It was quite nice and relaxing, however, coming home I didn't feel so good. I actually went to bed at 9:30 with a killer headache. I work up at 1 in the morning and remembered that I needed to make sure the Easter bunny was going to come the next morning. I stayed up until 3 cleaning and getting everything ready. (What is with the packaging of toys these days?- it took me 20 minutes to get a Polly Pocket out of its box- no lie.) The girls woke up around 6:30 and I went to bed shortly after seeing them get their Easter baskets. Thanks Jer. When I woke up, I started to get dressed when- blam- I sprained my neck- kind of painful. Then we went over to Grandma Carol and Grandpa Dick's house for their Easter lunch. Jer kept laughing at me, because I couldn't move my head and he kept making refrences to the movie 16 Candles- where Joan Cussack is in a neck brace thing because of her braces. Once again we ate ham, potatoes, asparagus, and rolls. :) Renae made this awesome dessert called dirt. It has brownies, chocolate pudding, whipcream, and heath bar in it. Yum! The kids then had an Easter egg hunt inside (it was too cold outside.) Both Victoria and Bella had a blast. I'll hopefully get to publish some photos soon- my camera broke, but Carol took a couple and will email me some soon.

10 Things About Me

So I was tagged by Patti. Never heard of this before. When I first heard the word tagged, I thought it had something to do with graffiti or a game of chase. But appearently I'm suppose to come up with ten interesting things about me on my blog, then tag 5 other people.

1 I've seen a UFO when I was 10.
2 My middle name is Anne after my grandmother's sister.
3 I really like Hooter's Hot Wings, but the older I get, the more it doesn't quite agree with me.
4 I'm reading a SciFi book/series with my hubby right now called Fire and Ice (it's set to become an HBO series soon.)
5 I love to watch reality shows like American Idol and Ninja Warrior (I use to watch Survivor when I had more free time.)
6 My favorite holiday is Halloween- dressing up, ghost stories, October air, and candy.
7 I've traveled to Europe (mainly staying around Rome) twice and would go back in a heartbeat.
8 I kept my New Years resolution this year- floss everyday.
9 I love to wear and buy lipstick- in college, I was called the Lipstick Queen- when I was having a bad day I would go to the drugstore and buy a new shade of lipstick- less expensive then shopping for new clothes.
10 My favorite movie is Shawshank Redemption- a story of how hope overcomes in the darkest situations.

So now I get to tag some people. I tag Julie, Anne, Kristi, Chris, and Patty.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

This weekend we went to a St. Patty's Day parade with Victoria's favorite person Nico and his clan. It was so much fun! We ate and drank (wink) and yelled and danced and caught tons of beads. This is a must from now on. The kids and parents enjoyed it. Plus we all looked so good in green.

My Laugh Comes From Momma

Coolest thought for the day- I was listening to Victoria tell me a story about her Easter basket. And I said, "Isn't that one Bella's. Didn't you have the yellow one and she has the pink one?" She starts laughing hard for about 30 seconds and then says, "Oh yeah. I forgot!" Then I start laughing hard. And that's when I realize, we have the same laugh. I wonder if she just picked it up from me? What a cool thought!

OK, I've been forgeting to post some pretty cute things my kiddos have been doing. So here's a summary. A couple of days ago, Victoria was mad at me for not letting her watch her program and she says, "Mommy, I'm so mad at you! I'm going to throw a cucumber at you!" I covered my face and laughed. Then yesterday, Victoria was watching our neighbors cat walk the fence between ours and his houses and she says laughing, "Look at Kaylee balance on the fence." My little two year old used the word balance correctly- I was impressed. Also little Bella is putting two words together. Yesterday we were outside and Bella says, "go inside." Too cool.

Snow Day

It snowed two times this week. The first time was on Sunday night-gorgeous. The next morning the Lunn clan went outside at 6:45 and played in 1 inch of snow in 50 degree weather- it all melted by 9:00. Bella nd Victoria enjoyed eating the snow. When I wanted to go inside, they wanted to keep playing. So I let them. I grabbed a cup of coffee and watched them from my back window. They played for another 10 minutes. Victoria kept feeding Bella snow. Then yesterday, Thursday, the snow really came down. We received 4 inches of the white stuff. It was really coming down- in fistfuls! I went outside with the girls, after bundleing them up to the max. We built a snowman, but couldn't finish putting on the final touches because Bella was unhappy and crying. Her little feet just refused to walk on the snow. She was falling all over the place, and it was a lot colder than she liked. So we went inside. When Jer came home, he took Victoria outside again and they built another snowman- of coarse bigger- he had to rub it in. We made hot chocolate and a fire later that night. This morning we're just hanging around in our fuzzy PJ's. It's so pretty to look at the snow in the back yard, however, the snow on the street is already melted and I have a feeling later this day, we might have to have a funeral for Mr. and Mrs. Snowman.

The Day of Me

After much complaining, my DH has given me the day off to do whatever I want. (Oh, and I'm also watching the kids for 4 days next week while he goes on a ski trip.) It felt so good this morning to sleep to when I possibly could (7:30) and be woken up with the sound of rain. Jer on the other hand got up with Victoria at 5:50 to watch Dragon Tails- that's when I turned the monitor off, so I couldn't hear Bella wake up. The rest of the day is mine. OK Just got back- Amazing, busy day all about me. Ahhh. Here's the rundown... woke up, coffee to myself, sang in the 15 minute shower, got on the computer with another cup coffee and organized and ordered photos from Walmart (something fun for me that I never have time to do anymore), went shopping at Tuesday Mornings- no real deals, shopped at Carters- got $50 of Victoria's clothes for next winter- shirts for $3, pants for$4, went to Walmart and got my pictures, hip nail polish, and highlights that I can't wait to put in, met my friend at PF Changs and got the best meal for $10- lettuce wraps, Wonton Soup, and a $2 shot glass full of 5 layer chocolate cake, went to JC Penny's and got 3 shirts for me in the junior section 'cause they were hip and fit me wonderful, got a message- ahhhh, went to go see Juno (Highly Reccomend!!!!), and went to go eat a steak dinner with the in-laws. Oh, I forgot, drving over to their house I saw a rainbow, the kind that stretches all the way across the sky. What a perfect day!

january/febuary

So much has happened this past month. I was just downloading my pics to the computer and realized I haven't posted in quite some time. Uncle Jeff came to visit sometime in January. We went to the zoo and to the park- it was one of those weeks that the weather was amazing. Victoria and I made his favorite peanut butter morsel in chocolate batter cookies. The batter was delicious, but the cookies themselves wouldn't come off the sheet. I wish Jeff lived closer; we had a lot of fun and the girls love him. This month I had a double ear infection and couldn't walk for 2 days. I now know what Bella goes through- Yuck. I've been doing a lot with my Christie E.S. friends (Chris and Patti and their kiddos) and my Fabulous Frisco Momsclub- parks and get togethers. We went to the Field Museum and saw a dinosaur exhibit- too fun. They had real-like dinosaurs spaced a half a block away from each other outside on a walking trail. They were of "Disney" quality and Bella wasn't quite sure what to think of them when they growled at her. Victoria on the otherhand was a different story, she kept running up to the next one with fasination. We had to tell her to stay with us; she was so exuberant. Victoria is so much like her Daddy in that respect. It has been a busy week of Valentines that never stop. Victoria loves writing them and giving them. Bella and she loved recieving chocolate! I've cleaned up more chocolate... Oh, and I've rearranged my house (reclaimed the quest bedroom and put the girls together, and moved all their toys into the computer/bookroom- it has made it much easier in cleanup) and painted a couple of rooms and the doors and borders. Well, I think that's pretty much the jest of this last month- busy and fun.
