We went over to my parents house to celebrate the 4th with them on Saturday. We had a picnic style dinner with hot dogs, green bean casserole, and strawberry shortcake. Afterward, we went to Coppell's wooden park, then came home and let the kids run in the sprinkler. They enjoyed playing soldier and taking commands from drill Sargent Jeremy, even if they couldn't turn the correct direction.
We threw some Pops and my dad had a couple of those long sparklers from many years ago that still worked.

After we took off from my parents house, we were coming home when we saw that Frisco's firework show was about to start, so we parked the car and watched them.
On the 4th of July, we went over to Carol and Dick's house. We ate pulled pork sandwiches, watermellon, and amazing banana pudding. They set up their water slide and all the cousins had a great time playing- Caleb, Chloe, and Kiera, Luke and Zach (Julie and Mark's kids) and our two.
Later that day, Renae and I did a craft with the kids where they got to design their own Independence Day T shirt with stickers, contact paper, and fabric paint spray. They turned out really cute and very original.
Josh and Renae took Victoria and Bella that night for a sleepover at their house. They also got to go to McKinney's firework show, as well as a bounce house and festivities. Happy 4th! I'm proud to be an American- what a great life we have!
